Pops of Color & Popping Champagne at TCU

This senior session showcases everything lovely about spring! From the beautiful weather to the pops of color, taking photos at Texas Christian University this time of year is such a delight.

This week’s session highlight is Erin from Georgetown, Texas. She is majoring in Biology and Pre-PA and has immediate plans to work as a CNA following graduation, but ultimately plans to attend PA school. Erin describes herself as positive, energetic, and witty. The photos we captured during her senior session are proof of her bubbly personality!

Even though we had to reschedule once due to nasty, stormy Texas spring weather, this makeup session was so worth the wait. The weather today was picture perfect. Erin and her mom had everything planned—from the outfits to the props and the spots around campus they wanted to capture, this mother-daughter duo didn’t miss a beat. They even brought a wagon to help roll everything around campus. I highly recommend doing this if you have several outfits, stoles, boots, etc. It’s a lifesaver!

We started off the session at Amon G. Carter Stadium then a quick walk over to Erin’s sorority house where pictures in front of the iconic pink door were a must have. From there we headed to other iconic locations on campus such as Sadler Hall, the TCU sign on University, and finished up at Frog Fountain. I love offering a variety of locations, and I let the senior pick the most important ones that hold the most memories.

Erin definitely wanted photos of her popping a celebratory bottle of champagne. I suggested she bring two bottles, just in case the first one doesn’t pop and fizz as expected. Sadly, this time neither of her bottles were very fizzy, but sometimes that’s just how things go. Fortunately, with Erin’s positive attitude and can-do spirit, we persevered and adapted! Erin big smile and celebratory tone carried the photos to an incredible final gallery. She even wanted to step inside Frog Fountain where we were able to highlight her adorable purple heels…more pops of color!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I have taken dozens of senior sessions at TCU, and it’s one of my favorite universities to serve. If you’re graduating there this year (or anywhere else in the DFW area for that matter) and need a photographer to capture your collegiate milestone, you can contact me here. It would be an honor to take photos for you, too!
