Max's Senior Guy Session at Keller Pointe in Keller, TX
I had the honor of photographing Max, an incredible young man from Keller, Texas, as he closed his high school chapter. I’ve photographed his cousins for their college and high school photos, so this session felt so right. Max's story is one of dedication, positivity, and dreams that soar as high as the Texas sky. I loved documenting the highlights of his high school career!
Max is a 2023 graduate of Keller High School, and he stands out not only for his impressive academic achievements but also for his excellent and positive attitude.
When I first met Max at Keller Pointe, one of my favorite photography spots in the area, I was immediately struck by his friendliness and kindness. It's not often that you come across a senior who is so willing to embrace all the creative poses and suggestions, but Max did so with enthusiasm, making the photography session an absolute delight.
The day we chose for the shoot was a bit gloomy, with overcast skies threatening to dampen the mood. However, Max's choice of clothing, the perfect shades of purple and blue, brought vibrancy to the photographs and harmonized beautifully with the fall colors in the backdrop. Great wardrobe choice, Max!
The trees were still painted with the rich hues of autumn, which provided a stunning natural canvas for Max's senior photos. I can’t get over all of the amazing colors!
To combat the challenging lighting conditions, I decided to use an off-camera flash, a technique which adds an extra touch of magic to Max's photos. The extra light not only illuminated his face a bit better but also helped his eyes sparkle.
At the time of our session, Max was in a state of anticipation, eagerly waiting to hear if he had been accepted into the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Despite the uncertainty, we decided to capture his dreams and aspirations by including shots of him wearing his MIT red sweatshirt.
Our foresight paid off! When the news finally arrived that Max had indeed been accepted into MIT, I felt pure joy for him. I couldn't wait to share the news on my social media platforms and congratulate him!
His story is a testament to hard work, resilience, and the power of keeping a positive attitude. As a photographer, it's moments like these that remind me of the privilege and responsibility I have to preserve the milestones in people's lives.
In Max, I saw a young man who embraced every challenge with a smile, and I have no doubt that he will continue to shine brightly at MIT and beyond.
