Location Spotlight: Texas Christian University

Texas Christian University is another favorite location of mine. This 302-acre campus nestled in a tree-lined neighborhood just to the south of downtown Fort Worth, offers endless options for incredible photo opportunities. Of course TCU students choose their campus for these special memories, but hopefully this blogpost will spark ideas for how you can use your own college or highschool campus for your own photo session. A main attraction is Amon G Carter Stadium. This open-air, grass stadium can seat up to 45,000 fans at one time! The lighting is always great right here and it’s always thrilling for the students to reminisce all the fun times they had at the games. Does your school have a stadium you could use? Let’s find out!

Your academic achievements have to be celebrated, and TCU’s scenic campus goes above and beyond everything we could ever need. This campus features a harmonious blend of architectural beauty and natural charm. Do you know the story behind their buff bricks and red roofs? Read about it here! With its manicured lawns, tree-lined pathways, and classic buildings, we’re bound to create a charming atmosphere in your senior photos.

Whether you are going for a formal look or a casual vibe (or something in between) we can find the perfect spot just for you! Also, it is super easy to change clothes at this location, so there’s no worries there.

Sadler Hall is another iconic location on the TCU campus for photos. The reflective white stones and ornate columns create stunning images with elegance and style!

Whether you prefer a traditional or contemporary style, TCU provides ample opportunities to create stunning images that show off who you are. One way I love to do this is by incorporating Frog Fountain located in the heart of the campus. Champagne pops are hugely popular and so much fun!

TCU undeniably offers a wide range of settings, but if the recognizable spots aren’t your style, we can definitely find some cozier settings. There are many stairways and paths around campus that offer natural settings for an endless variety in posing options.

I love all the archways around campus, and especially the one found on The Commons. We often have to be strategic and patient since it’s such a busy location, but potential photo bombers won’t stop us from creating some magic right there!

Even if a ton of people are around during your session, we can still capture some amazing portraits. I love this aspect of TCU, because by looking at your gallery, you’d never know if the place was crowded or not!

These nooks and crannies are great even when the campus is not busy. I love creating intimate spaces for my seniors to be themselves and express their personalities. We snap some of the most amazing shots in the unlikeliest of places.

Most importantly, the campus administration is very photographer friendly. If we ever decide to photograph inside a building, we make sure to have permission first, but otherwise we have access to sidewalks, doorways, statues, etc. The TCU sign on University Avenue is definitely a must-have-shot and the way the students pose themselves on and around it are endless and just one more way to show off personalities!

Overall, I love spending time on the TCU campus meeting new people, hearing their stories and cheering them onto the next phase of life. With its visually appealing campus, iconic landmarks, and diverse settings, TCU provides the perfect backdrop to showcase unique personalities and commemorate academic successes. I hope to see you there!
