Family Portrait Session at the Lumen Room
It’s always so much fun to photograph a fellow homeschooling family, so I was thrilled to meet the entire Babb Family for our family session at the Lumen Room!
Due to a last minute reschedule, we had to forego our original location, which was planned to be part outdoors and part studio. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to schedule that same location, but the Lumen Room on Galveston Street was available last minute! It was perfect!
The day was frigid, with a blistery breeze that prohibited us from photographing our session outside, but in the end, I wouldn’t change a thing. With a simple, white backdrop, we captured the essence of each family member. It was a blast!
The Lumen Room is such a cool location for family photos, and we managed to capture a great variety of poses. I highly recommend it! The clean studio was perfect for our needs.
From stools to couches, we had plenty of furniture to work with, but the Babb family didn’t need much to shine! At every smile, I just melted. This family has such a strong bond!
The Babb family are all so much fun to photograph. Mom, Dad, and all four kids came with great attitudes, their biggest smiles, and lots of laughs! We got plenty of great shots. After some of all the kids together, we broke them up into pairs, and even did some individual portraits!
Their son, Josiah, just graduated from high school last year. I photographed him for his senior photos, so it was great to see him again! Josiah was just as funny as ever, making jokes with his brother about being hungry—because teen boys always are!
A huge goal for the Babb family was to update their family photos before Josiah leaves for YWAM and Ashtyn goes back to college. We went above and beyond!
This family loves each other so much, so it was easy to capture it with just a simple prompt or small instructions. Everyone did well!
This family session was better than I could have dreamed! I’m so obsessed with how the final photos turned out. I hope you had just as much fun as I did!
