There's something truly magical about senior photo sessions. There’s a reason why I specialize in them! With the start of school behind us, it’s time to start thinking about senior photo sessions. If you have a high schooler who is approaching graduation this year, I hope you find this throwback photo session full of inspiration!
Graduation is such a momentous time in a young person's life. They're on the cusp of adulthood, ready to embark on a new journey filled with hopes and dreams. I had the pleasure of photographing Faith, a senior girl from Colleyville, Texas, who simply glowed positivity in every frame we captured.
Faith's story is unique in that she's a 2021 homeschool graduate and a graduate of Classical Conversations, a homeschool program known for its rigorous curriculum. She's not just academically inclined, though. Faith is a multi-talented young woman who enjoys playing softball and actively participates in her church's vibrant youth group. But what sets Faith apart is her unwavering faith in Jesus, which is the cornerstone of her life.
Our photo session took place at the picturesque McPherson Park in Colleyville, Texas. It was the perfect location for Faith's nature-inspired senior photos, with lush green grass and vibrant spring colors serving as the backdrop for her radiant smile.
This park had everything we needed to make Faith shine! From a grassy field to an abundance of flowers, I was so pleased with how everything turned out! The bright pops of color accentuate Faith’s beauty, and I can’t imagine a better session location for her.
Faith arrived at the park with a plan. She had carefully selected outfits and props that represented her personality and interests. Her Bible, worn from countless readings and filled with notes, was a central element of our shoot. It was a powerful symbol of her faith, and we wanted to incorporate it into the photos in a meaningful way.
The challenge we faced that day was the ever-present Texas wind. However, rather than letting it deter us, we decided to embrace it. The wind became our ally, adding a playful element to some of the shots. Faith's hair and dress swayed in the breeze, creating a sense of movement and capturing her carefree spirit.
As we explored McPherson Park, we discovered hidden gems that perfectly complemented Faith's personality. From charming tree-lined paths to open fields of green grass, the park provided us with a variety of natural settings that allowed Faith to take center stage.
After our nature photo session at McPherson Park, it was clear that Faith was ready to take on the world. She now attends Lubbock Christian University, where she will undoubtedly continue to pursue her dreams. Faith's high school journey was just beginning, and I felt honored to have played a small part in capturing this special moment in her life.
