Carol and Mike's 50th Wedding Anniversary at Grapevine Botanical Gardens

In a heartwarming tribute to five decades of love and commitment, Carol and Mike, a retired military couple from Texas, booked me for an extra special photography session at Grapevine Botanical Gardens.

Carol and Mike's love story began in grade school, blossoming into a lifetime of memories. With three daughters, numerous grandkids, and two great-grandkids, their bond has only grown stronger over the years. It was amazing to immortalize their love with a professional photography session.

Carol and Mike spared no effort when preparing themselves for this married couples photo session. We started with casual outfits to ease into the session, and then the couple later changed into their formal attire, radiating elegance and timeless style. Carol had her hair professionally done, and they wore the same dressy clothes that they had on during their anniversary party back in the fall.

They brought along sentimental props to enhance the significance of the occasion. These included a cake topper from their wedding, a wooden heart lovingly carved by Mike, their cherished photo album, and a handmade plaque commemorating their 50th anniversary.

Carol and Mike approached their photography session with enthusiasm, open to exploring various poses and settings. As the photographer, my top priority was their comfort, ensuring they didn't have to hold poses for extended periods.

To maintain safety and convenience, I guided the couple along smooth and level walkways at Grapevine Botanical Gardens. This approach eliminated any tripping hazards while ensuring Carol's dress remained free from any branches or snags. The picturesque surroundings provided a stunning backdrop, complementing the couple’s commitment and love.

To add an extra touch of celebration, I even brought crystal champagne flutes and ginger ale for a delightful toast to their 50th anniversary. This small but meaningful gesture brought Carol and Mike so much joy! Additionally, we used a bouquet of flowers, which served as a versatile prop throughout the session.
