Callie's Senior Girl Session at Keller Pointe

Photographing seniors is definitely one of my favorite types of sessions, for a lot of reasons! I love documenting the transition between childhood and adulthood. It’s a time for seniors to discover who they are and live their dreams. It’s so inspiring to be around the ambitious dreams of high school graduates, and I definitely felt that magic during my senior girl session with Callie!

Callie plans to study neuroscience in college after her graduation. She’s so intelligent, resilient, and sweet, that I think she’ll be perfect for the career! We went to Keller Pointe to celebrate all of her dreams. Check out the results!

Callie is a 2023 Keller High School graduate, and our session was super special. We were able to capture who Callie is at this moment in time in a gallery of gorgeous photos, and I know she’s going to love these for a very long time!

We wanted to create a sort of time capsule for her to look back on her high school experience, so we made sure to plan everything, from Callie’s wardrobe to incorporating props. Her favorite color is yellow, and she has a love for movie theater popcorn. She loves the iced brown sugar oat milk shaken espresso from Starbucks, so with that in mind, we knew exactly what we wanted!

Callie also did a FANTASTIC job preparing for our session. She created a Pinterest board full of senior photo inspiration, and thanks to that, we were able to bring her dreams to life.

A huge desire of hers was to have our session during golden hour, which is a time shortly after sunrise or before sunset when the light is golden. This is one of my absolute favorite times to shoot a photo session, so I was all for it!

We chose a spot that normally has tall, wispy grass, but when we arrived at the location, we realized that it had been mowed down recently in preparation for new wildflowers and native grasses. Despite that, there were still pockets of tall grass all over the place, so even though our photos weren’t exactly what she pictured, Callie ended up loving everything.

Callie also wanted a few photos with her beloved dog. Furry friends are such an essential part of our lives, so it would have been a crime not to include this adorable furball! That said, dogs can sometimes be pretty energetic during a photo session, so I request you bring an extra person along to wrangle the dog when it’s not being photographed. It just makes everything run much smoother.

Callie’s mom was definitely that person for us. Since we didn’t have to worry about the pup, Callie and I were free to focus on her. Thanks so much, Mom!

In the end, our golden hour senior girl session was an absolute joy. Callie is such a vibrant young lady, and I know she’s going to shine everywhere she goes in life. Thanks for letting me document your high school experience, Callie! I can’t wait to see where your dreams take you.
