Twin Brother Session at Colleyville Library Complex in Colleyville, TX

As a DFW senior photographer, I recently had the pleasure of photographing twin brothers Weston and Jake for their senior portraits. These young men have been homeschooled their entire lives and are actively involved in their community. They enjoy activities such as camping, working out, and spending time with friends.

Working with these young men was such a pleasure. They both have great attitudes and big, cheerful smiles. As twin brothers, they have such a strong bond.

Jake, who wore a light blue blazer, was a bit reserved, but he was completely comfortable with me posing him and telling him what to do. Weston, on the other hand, was a natural in front of the camera and had fun being a model in his black shirt and blazer. He even brought his beloved pickup truck to the session for a few pictures with it!

During the session, we were also joined by their parents, Elena and David. It was clear that these guys are their "babies," and their mom took so many behind the scenes pictures and videos. I’m so glad that they had a great time, too! Photoshoots are supposed to be fun, for everyone involved.

We all laughed a lot during the session, especially when their mom wanted to recreate a specific pose from when they were little boys. It took several tries, but we finally achieved a likeness that satisfied mom!

As a photographer, I always strive to capture the unique personality and interests of each of my clients, and with Weston and Jake, I wanted to be extra careful about that. As a twin, it can sometimes be hard to find your own identity when everyone else refers to you as “the twins,” so I wanted to make sure that I captured each young man’s individuality.

To ensure that each one had a chance in the spotlight, we incorporated their interests and hobbies into their session, including their Civil Air Patrol and Speech & Debate activities. It was important to everyone involved to showcase the things that make them who they are, both together and apart.

One of the things that impressed me most about Weston and Jake was their commitment and involvement in their church's youth program. They are both great examples of what it means to be leaders in their community, and I feel honored to have been able to capture this in their senior portraits.

It was a huge blessing to work with Weston and Jake, as well as their parents. They were a joy to be around, and I am thrilled with the final results of their senior portraits. As a DFW senior photographer, I am always grateful for the opportunity to capture these special moments in the lives of young adults. I wish these two the best as they transition to the next adventure!
