The LaQuey’s Family Branding Session in Fort Worth, TX

Recently, I had the honor of photographing the LaQuey Family in their beautiful home in Fort Worth, Texas. This was a special family photo session because it involved capturing images for two very special purposes: photos for promoting Abby’s podcast on social media and Julie’s book cover!

Julie is a fearless pioneer. I’ve known her family through church and our homeschooling circles for about 20 years now. I’m so proud of their journey and testimony. Julie’s book, “Powered by Love,” is now available to order. I highly recommend checking it out!

This book is all about their challenging but transformative journey that began when their daughter, Abby, was born with Down syndrome. Through their experiences, they discovered the unique gifts and talents that Abby possesses and learned to embrace her uniqueness, allowing her to thrive and fulfill her purpose.

In "Powered by Love," Julie shares her wisdom and insight on how to help children with special needs live to their fullest potential. She covers topics such as building relationships, managing expectations, developing character, finding courage and hope, and recognizing the value and purpose in every person. Her inspiring words and biblical teachings will empower parents to embrace their child's differences and discover greater freedom and joy in their lives.

Abby has grown into a courageous young adult. She is an inspiration to many as she speaks at various events and ministry opportunities, sharing her faith and her story. Abby is also the host of “Abby LaQuey Presents The Lost & Found Podcast” on Spotify, so we took plenty of professional headshots for social media promotion.

During the session, I made sure to use natural light as much as possible to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. With the help of a reflector and strategically placed chairs, we were able to achieve the perfect lighting for each shot.

I also made sure to capture candid moments of the family interacting and laughing together, which added a personal touch to the photos. As a portrait photographer, I've had the opportunity to work with many families over the years and the LaQueys were extra special for sure!

What stood out to me about the LaQuey Family was their love and support for each other. It was evident in the way they interacted during the session, and it was a joy to capture those special moments for them.

The LaQuey Family's story is an inspiration to many families with special needs children. It's a reminder that love, support, and faith can help overcome any obstacle, or even turn an obstacle into a strength! I love that Julie and Abby are able to share their story with others and provide encouragement to families facing similar challenges.

If you're a parent of a special needs child, I encourage you to check out Julie's book and Abby's podcast. You'll find tons of inspiration, encouragement, and even practical tips for parenting special needs children. Julie, Abby, and Tyce, it was an absolute honor to be a part of your special projects! I pray that God multiplies all of your efforts.
