Sam's College Senior Session at Texas Christian University

Sam’s College Senior Session was such a momentous occasion. As a photographer, I’m so happy that I had the privilege of documenting this special chapter in her life.

Sam is not only a recent graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU), but she's also a dedicated and passionate individual who exudes positivity, confidence, and loyalty. Her journey to earn her degree in early childhood education was a remarkable one, and I was honored to be part of her story.

During our initial discussions, Sam shared some insights into her life and hobbies. She loves working out, going on walks with friends, cooking up a storm in the kitchen, and indulging in various art projects. It was evident that she had a zest for life and a passion for creativity, which made me even more excited to capture her essence in the photos.

From our first moments together, Sam’s infectious enthusiasm and warm personality lit up the entire campus. She had a clear vision of what she wanted to capture during her senior session, and I was excited to bring her ideas to life.

Of course the location of choice was TCU, where Sam had spent four years of her life. She had a deep connection with the campus, and we decided to focus on two iconic spots that held special significance for her: Frog Fountain and the Amon G. Carter football stadium. These locations not only symbolized her academic journey, but also showcased the beauty of TCU.

Sam graduated last May and has been working as an elementary school teacher in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area. She set her intentions on becoming a teacher and now that’s exactly what she’s doing! How cool is that!?!?!

However, our session was not without any challenges. As any Texan will tell you, springtime here can be a bit windy. We were prepared for this and knew we might have to deal with gusts that would play havoc with Sam's long hair. She took everything in stride and actually enjoyed the breeze, so we decided not to stress over perfection.

Sam opted for a single outfit, keeping things simple and authentic with a pretty white dress. Her choice reflected her no-fuss, down-to-earth personality. One thing that struck me throughout the session was Sam's innate sweetness and friendliness. I can only imagine the kind of positive impact she is having on her students, and it warms my heart to know that the next generation is being guided by someone as wonderful as Sam.

As we wrapped up the session, I couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to work with Sam. Her enthusiasm, positivity, and charm were contagious, and I knew the photographs we captured would be a cherished memory of her college years for years to come.

I have no doubt that Sam's students adore her just as much as I do. Congratulations, Sam, on your graduation and may your journey as an educator be as amazing as your college experience at TCU. Thanks for everything you do! I’m so excited to see where this career takes you.
